PBs galore at the first weekend of the Victorian All Schools Championships
The first week of the Victorian All Schools competition was held at Lakeside this weekend with all four club athletes who competed recording impressive PBs.
Ben Blecher came 5th in the under 16 400m final in 51.67 sec (just missing out on a medal). Prior to this season, Ben had not broken 53 seconds!
Oliver Kranz (u.18 100m 11.35sec), Danielle Axarlis (u.18 100m 13.13swc) and Keira Donner (u.16 100m 13.84sec) all ran their best times in the windy and sometimes off-putting conditions.
This is a great result – not just for the athletes, but also for first-year coach David Blecher – who coaches all 4 athletes!
