Good Start to the 2023 XCR Season

The Athletics Victoria cross country season commenced last weekend with the Jells Park relay.
Maccabi entered one Division 5 open men’s team in the 4 x 6K relay with the order of running being Zac Ashkanasy, Len Bryer, Will Feutrill and Julien Schulberg.
The team ran well to finish 7th (1 hour, 41 min 08 sec.) out of the 13 teams.
Zac continues to amaze clocking a fantastic time of 20 min 29 sec for his 6K leg.

It was such an exciting event held on a beautiful morning around Jells Park, with hundreds of athletes, men and women, boys and girls, from the many Athletics Victorian clubs competing.
The quality of the competition at Athletics Victoria cross country is amazing.

The next event in the series will be the Albert Park 10K road race to be held on Sunday 7th May.
Juniors run 3K, open men and women run 10K.

We are looking forward to a big participation from the many registered and new club athletes in our cross-country squad.
